Nowadays, the Ballet educates two hundred children sfrom age eight. Besides the free ballet classes, these children receive nutritional, educational and medical support. Not only the students, but also their families are influenced by this impressive and very well-organized institution. Having a specific practice place will allow Ballet Paraisopolis to reach even more students and dwellers, providing better quality of life for all of them. That is our goal with this temporary structure, while we are waiting for PIPA's permits. As a current active social agent inside Paraisopolis, PIPA has dedicated parts of its plot for temporary uses, planning, designing, and constructing several pavilions while also holding several cultural and educational events. These temporary pavilions are based on the concept of using only reusable materials which will be used in the construction of the future project while also transfering the knowloedge and skill of workingwith suchmaterials to the local labor force. In the case of the Ballet Pavilion, the wood structure will be reused in the construction of an exterior amphitheater in future PIPA, that will also be used by Ballet Paraisopolis by then.
